We’re Hiring: Exercise Specialist / Coach

Part-Time (20–25 hours/week) with Opportunity to Grow

The Med Gym is growing, and we’re looking to add an Exercise Specialist to our coaching team.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Exercise Science who wants to build a long-term career working with older adults and individuals with medical complexity through thoughtful, individualized exercise programming.

This is not a typical “personal trainer” role. Our clients require a higher level of clinical awareness, individualized decision-making, and professional responsibility than is expected in many traditional gym settings.

  • Guide clients through individualized exercise programs

  • Build strong, long-term coaching relationships

  • Support a professional, client-centered training environment

  • Learn and apply our systems for assessment and program design over time

About the Role

  • Part-time to start: ~20–25 hours per week

  • Flexible growth: hours and responsibilities may expand as you develop and as team needs evolve

  • Structured onboarding: new coaches begin by shadowing and supporting sessions while learning our coaching systems, with clear guidance and mentorship throughout the process.

  • Growth potential: opportunity for increased responsibility and potential full-time work for the right fit
