I have worked out and maintained a healthy lifestyle my whole adult life. Now that I am retired, I travel a lot and love to cycle. A couple years ago, I went on a 2-week bike tour overseas where I would cycle 35-45 miles a day. Although my endurance fitness was good I noticed that I really lacked strength.
David Drinks, the owner of the Med Gym, did a presentation on functional fitness at our bike club and I was intrigued by his straightforward approach and passion on health and wellness. With all the traveling I do, it is so great to have the accountability when I get back to continue my strength building when I am home. Even on days that I am jet-lagged, or low-energy, I feel so great when I leave. I can do pretty much everything I could do, when I was decades younger.
